Staff Transitions and Future Plans

We are grateful for the ministry of Pastor Jim Voigt these past 3 and 1/2  years.  It has been a joy to work with Jim as he has always been willing to serve Christ in various roles and capacities.  We wish Jim, Kim and Alexis the very best and pray for them as they move to Kentucky with Jim completing his seminary graduate work.  We are requesting that a young adult pastor be appointed to Schweitzer at Annual Conference this summer.

While we will not have a pastor assigned immediately upon Jim's departure, a new staff ministry position is being created--The Director of Leadership/Service Ministries.  The new director will enhance our leadership development and assist Schweitzer members/constituents to find their ministry and place to serve.  We hope to name the new director as we provide more information about this position next week.

We are pleased to announce that Dawn Thompson, Angela Robinett and Julianne Robinett have been hired as our interim youth ministry staff. Dawn Thompson will serve as our interim director providing administrative oversight with Julianne and Angela leading our middle school ministry.  Dawn will continue in this position until we acquire the services of a full time director.  As the search begins for a full time Director of Youth Ministries, Schweitzer is blessed with a strong core of adult leaders.  Lori Lampert and Sara Kerner will lead our seventh graders as their Confirmation journey begins in early January.  Schweitzer also enjoys a large number of youth
leaders in our Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Wednesday evening groups and activities.

Another noteworthy change is Lori Lampert assuming additional responsibilities as our Lead Associate Pastor.  Lori is being given more supervisory roles over staff and administrative oversight as Schweitzer continues to grow and expand its ministries.  Schweitzer continues to be blessed by a dedicated and excellent church staff.  The staff is here to fulfi ll the biblical direction "to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up."  Ephesians 4: 12.  Thank you Schweitzer members and friends for the incredible ministry you do in the name of Christ.  --Bob Casady

The staff at Schweitzer is always amazing. I know that staff come and go but we are such a blessed church to have the caring people who serve us and the Lord. I have been a member of for 15 years give or take a few years. My attendance sporadic and I am not sure where I fit however it is the most welcoming environment to return to on Sundays. Thank you for all you do and caring and hard work it takes to meet the needs of so many.
