MOPS is a program designed for mothers with children ages infant to kindergarten.  The group is composed of mothers, not the same age, but in the same phase of life.  Women of different lifestyles, ages, and beliefs, yet with similar needs…to be the very best mother they can be.

We meet at Schweitzer United Methodist Church on Sunshine.  We have 2 groups…DayMOPS meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday morning each month from 9 - 11:30 a.m.  NightMOPS meets the 3rd Tuesday evening each month from 6 - 8:00 p.m.  We meet September through May.

If you plan to attend one of the meetings, please call ahead so the MOPPETS (childcare) department can be adequately staffed.

The cost is $5.00 per meeting.  This includes dues, crafts and snacks for your kids.  We look forward to meeting you!

What goes on at MOPS meetings?
After coffee, breakfast, and visiting, the morning begins with a presentation from various speakers.  Topics relate to womanhood, marriage and childrearing.

Following learning time, mothers break into small group discussions to talk about the topic on a more personal level.  The intimate atmosphere of these groups allows women to express their feelings on motherhood and marriage, blending their experiences of success and failure.

After discussion, a craft time allows each woman to be creative and feel a great sense of accomplishment when a new craft is completed.

What is MOPPETS?
A loving, caring program that resembles a preschool/Sunday school environment.  MOMS have the assurance of knowing their children are in age appropriate classes, making new friends and expanding their social behavior.

The children enjoy refreshments, stories, outdoor play and creative activities with our special MOPPETS staff.

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers.  MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom, urban, suburban, and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single, and married moms with different lifestyles who all share a simple desire to be the very best mom they can be!  MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in the mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.
