Missions

There are many exciting things happening in the Missions area at Schweitzer UMC.  Several persons in the congregation are exploring upcoming V.I.M. trips to the Appalachian Mountains and Nicaragua in addition to the continual sending of work crews to aid in the tornado clean-up in Southwest Missouri.  We also share the honor of having several members of this congregation serving as Missionaries in the field. 

On the home front, we continue to support local outreaches such as Crosslines, with food drives, volunteers, and our participation as a "Fish Church" through which we provide enough food for 40 families for 3 days.  We support The Kitchen, both financially and with volunteers, and the Festival of Sharing is always a great part of our mission endeavor.
